In Abrahamic religions, a messiah or messias (Hebrew: ืึธืฉึดืืืึท: Mฤลกฤซaแธฅ; Greek: ฮผฮตฯฯฮฏฮฑฯ, messรญas; Arabic: ู ุณูุญ, masรฎแธฅ; lit.โ'the anointed one') is a saviour or liberator of a group of people.
Isaiah 9:6-9
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace". Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of YAHAUH of hosts will perform this.
Some say that this verse refers to Jesus as the Messiah, and that it describes his incarnation, birth, and humanity. The verse also refers to a time when Christ will rule over an earthly kingdom that includes all the world's governments.
